American monkey bread transforms traditional monkey bread into the most amazing mouthwatering breakfast you have ever had as it combines delicious cinnamon rolls with berries and a tasty cream cheese frosting.
In my home,I have always loved monkey bread! The other day though I didn’t have the standard biscuits to make monkey bread, I only had ready to bake cinnamon rolls so I decided to create what I call “American Monkey Bread” as I combined cinnamon rolls, fruit, and cream cheese to make the most fabulous breakfast for the family. This was the easiest breakfast to make and the flavor was out of this world. I know you and your family will love it too!
Monkey bread is a delicious pastry dish that uses ready to cook pieces of dough that is drenched with a delicious sauce or frosting to make an extraordinary gooey breakfast that is loved by everyone.
Of course, American monkey bread is a little bit different as it uses ready to bake cinnamon rolls, pieces of strawberries, and blueberries that is then covered with an egg mixture to make it more like a bread pastry that is then drenched in an incredible cream cheese frosting.
I love to create easy breakfasts and this is one of the easiest because it uses ready to bake cinnamon roll dough!
That’s right! Using ready to cook cinnamon roll dough is the best time-saver hack and no one will ever know (unless they find the can in the trash!) Your family will think you spent hours making their breakfast when in reality it only takes about 10 minutes of prep!
Storing American Monkey bread is a bit different than storing normal monkey bread. Because of the fruit in this breakfast dish, you will want to store your monkey bread in an airtight container in the fridge.
You can store it for up to 3 days.
If you by chance have any leftovers, you will want to reheat it in the microwave in 20-second intervals. It will cook quickly so you do not want to put it in for too long. If you overcook it the American monkey bread will be very rubbery.
Beware because the cream cheese frosting will be very hot!
