If you want bananas that are great to be eaten immediately, then buy them when they are a slightly darker shade of yellow. Look for small black marks appearing on the skin. This is a sign that they will be at their best.
Storing your bananas in the right way will always make sure that they taste their best. It may be tempting to store them in the fridge. However, the cold temperatures will cause the skin to blacken very quickly.

A quick and easy way of using up your ripe bananas is to make them into tasty banana pudding. With lots of crunch and cream, once you know how to make banana pudding, you will want to eat it every day.
You’ll only need a few ingredients, cookies, cool whip, milk and pudding, and only takes a few minutes to prepare. It’s served cold, so let it sit in the fridge to allow the flavors to mingle.
Breakfast Banana Smoothies
Smoothies are quick, easy and healthy. They also make for a great start to your day, as they are packed with fruit and good energy.
Break up a couple of bananas into your blender. Add in a handful of blueberries — about three tablespoons of porridge oats, and one of flax seed. Then, put in about 200mls of milk, or the plant milk of your choice. Pop the top on the blender and mix it up for a couple of minutes.
You could make some beautiful banana muffins. Bananas work great in any kind of cake as they add that extra moistness. Your muffins will be packed full of flavor. You could even include Nutella for that extra tasty treat.
If you’re left with a whole bunch of ripe bananas, or if you’ve just bought some for next to nothing in the reduced section of your supermarket, why not make some delicious banana bread?
