ABOUT THE RECIPE:
“When I was younger, my step-father used to make us all different kinds of foods that we weren’t used to. Most of them I liked but there were some I wished he would never make them again. But the first time he made home-made burritos, I fell in love. I never got the recipe from him so I basically played around with it until I found something me and my family love.”
Beef & Bean Burritos
1 lb hamburger
1 can (16 oz) refried bean
Shredded cheddar cheese (approx 1 cup)
Your favorite salsa
6-8 large four tortillas
Cook the hamburger until brown; drain.
In a medium pot, combine he hamburger, refried beans, about a half of cup of cheese, and about a half a container of salsa (it depends on how much cheese and salsa you want). Mix occasionally until warm.
Warm tortillas in the microwave before filling. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of the mix until a tortilla. Fold the tortilla and place fold side down into a pan. Do the same with the remaining tortillas until the mixture is gone. Place a spoonful of salsa on top of the burrito, then add cheese.
Pre-heat the oven to 350. Bake for about 10 mins or until the cheese is melted. You can bake longer if you like crispier burritos.
