CSN Stores~Cuisnart Mini Prep Processor Review

January 25, 2011

There is a chill in the air here in Texas. Finally the weather is feeling like winter. Even though we haven’t  had really cold weather. You know Texas, one day it can be warm and the next day cold.  Lately I have been in the mood for a good soup. I was browsing through my new cookbook from The Dove’s Nest and found  a recipe for  Texas Chowder so I decided to give it a try and oh was I glad I did. This yummy chowder is one of the most popular soups served at  The Dove’s Nest restaurant. Hearty enough to be served as a one course meal. I decided to try out my new  Cuisnart Mini- Prep Processor with this recipe.  The recipe called for chopped bell peppers and onions. I decided to puree the bell pepper instead and this worked out well .I assembled the processor which was pretty simple. To be honest I have really never used a processor. I usually chop my vegetables by hand the old fashioned way.  I learned quickly that you have to cut the food into very small pieces before loading into the prep bowl which was a little frustrating at first because I had partial processed bell peppers and I  had to start over. Next I loaded the prep bowl with small pieces of onion. I was pleased this time with the results. The onion chopped beautifully. I would recommend this product to my readers. Just remember this is a mini processor and not meant for processing a large amount at one time.If you are preparing a small recipe this comes in handy.

Disclosure: For the review I received a Cusinart Mini-Prep Processor from CSN Stores.
