Bread is a staple food dating back as far as prehistoric times and one of the oldest prepared foods. Bread is a cross cultural food and a symbol of home. Bread brings families together. No one can resist the smell of fresh bread baking in the oven. I love fresh homemade bread. I remember smelling the aroma of fresh bread baking in one of the local bakeries here in my hometown. You could smell it when you drove by and oh did it smell heavenly. Just talking about it makes me hungry.
Panera Bread bakers have a passion for baking bread. Made fresh every day with a few simple ingredients.I love picking up a fresh loaf of bread from Panera. My favorite is the three cheese bread. and cinnamon raisin. So much better than the store bought bread. Why settle for anything else?
“Good bread is the most fundamentally satisfying of all foods; and good bread with fresh butter, the greatest of feasts.”
James Beard (1903-1985)
I love the fact that Panera uses fresh ingredients. Panera is a artisanal bakery and they really know how to bake delicious bread. I like this video from The BakersTable. You can learn to make a fabulous loaf of bread. Keeping it simple is what Panera bread bakers do. Using simple quality ingredients to create a beautiful and tasty loaf of bread.
I enjoyed the tomato story. I love vine ripe tomatoes. Panera only uses the freshest vine ripe tomatoes for there salads. I love the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, Made with all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, mixed field greens, romaine lettuce, vine-ripened tomatoes, red onions, pecans, Gorgonzola, apple chips & white balsamic apple vinaigrette.
See how Head Chef Dan Kish and Head Baker Tom Gumpel find there inspiration for all the delicious fresh food served at Panera.
